YAB Purpose

The Youth Action Board (YAB) is an active committee within Riverside County’s Continuum of Care (CoC) that amplifies the voices of youth and young adults with lived experience in homelessness, foster care, or any other related challenges. YAB members actively shape policies, programs, and initiatives aimed at addressing youth homelessness and its prevention. 

YAB Mission

The YAB empowers young voices to lead in Riverside County’s efforts to end and prevent youth homelessness. Our mission is to advocate for positive change with unwavering honesty, while fostering a culture of accountability through collaborative efforts, and promoting deep understanding of our future endeavors. 

YAB Vision

YAB members actively shape policies and initiatives, advocate for change, and foster community connections to ensure all youth have access to safe and stable housing. We envision a world where youth are empowered by advocacy, accountability is intrinsic to collaboration, and understanding is the cornerstone of progress.
