Galicia Commissioning Group Inc. Named 2025 Riverside County Workforce Development Business of the Year

December 11, 2025

Workforce development programs across Riverside County have been making a profound impact on students and local industries, bridging the gap between education and employment. This year, Riverside County Workforce Development has recognized Galicia Commissioning Group Inc. (GCG) as Business of the Year for its outstanding commitment to on-the-job training and dedication to preparing the next generation of HVAC professionals.

“Workforce development has done a lot beyond my company. It’s allowed us to focus on students here in the Coachella Valley,” said Ramiro Galicia. “Many times, students don’t have a pathway to the industry because employers are looking for two years of experience. By partnering with Workforce Development, we’ve been able to close that gap and give students real opportunities.”

Through collaboration with Riverside County’s Economic Development and Workforce teams, GCG has opened doors for apprenticeships, helping students gain hands-on experience while learning directly from industry experts. “Working side by side with GCG as an employee has encouraged me to better myself with equipment and skills. They walk me through the steps on how to get the job done. It’s a game changer because most companies don’t provide that kind of training,” shared Damien an On-the-Job Training participant.

The company’s approach goes beyond technical instruction—it’s about shaping futures. “It’s not really about the company anymore. It’s about every single student who becomes an employee, who has a family. You’re really changing the lives of entire families,” said Ramiro Galicia.

Recognizing Excellence The Business of the Year award highlights GCG’s role in advancing workforce development by investing in apprenticeships and mentoring. Their commitment ensures that HVAC students not only gain practical skills but also secure stable employment in a growing industry.

Galicia Commissioning Inc. exemplifies what workforce partnerships are all about. They are helping to build careers, strengthen families, and support the economic growth of our region.
