Today marks a proud milestone for Riverside County Workforce Development as it celebrates the successful completion of its Construction Training Program—a transformative pre-apprenticeship initiative designed to launch careers in the skilled trades. Thirty-one determined individuals graduated from the program, each having completed 166 hours of rigorous instruction, hands-on training, and earned nationally recognized certifications in MC3 and OSHA 10.

These credentials open doors to union apprenticeships and full-time employment opportunities, empowering graduates to step confidently into the construction industry. To further support their transition, the program offered two financial incentives: a $1,400 stipend for perfect attendance and an $850 stipend for those who secure full-time employment in the field.

This impactful program was made possible through the generous support of the City of Riverside’s Transformative Climate Communities (TCC) Grant. It reflects a broader commitment to workforce development, climate resilience, and community empowerment.

Riverside County Workforce Development extends heartfelt gratitude to its dedicated partners:

  • City of Riverside
  • Eastside Climate Collaborative
  • State Building & Construction Trades Council of California
  • San Bernardino Community College District
  • Riverside Community Health Foundation

Together, these organizations have helped create pathways to prosperity and laid the foundation for a stronger, more inclusive workforce. The future is being built—one graduate at a time.
