Casa Sienna Beaks Ground in Coachella

Casa Sienna Groundbreaking Celebration in Coachella

May 14, 2026

Congratulations to the City of Coachella on breaking ground on Casa Sienna, a new 53‑unit affordable housing community for seniors aged 62 and older who earn between 30% and 60% of area median income. This development is led by Chelsea Investment Corporation, the City of Coachella, and a strong coalition of public, private, and community partners, including Pacific Southwest Community Development Corp., the California Strategic Growth Council, the Housing Authority of the County of Riverside, the California Department of Developmental Services, and U.S. Bank.

The County of Riverside Housing Authority is proud to support this project with a HOME loan and eight project‑based vouchers, helping secure the financing needed to bring Casa Sienna to life. Special thanks to Supervisor V. Manuel Perez for championing this effort.

Once complete, residents will benefit from supportive services and convenient access to transit, medical facilities, parks, retail, a library, and other community resources all within walking distance.
