Sparrow at Mulberry Gardens Family Apartments has officially broken ground on Phase II, which will deliver 150 affordable homes for families. Of these, 37 units will be reserved for low-income households.

Attendees of the groundbreaking toured the senior housing side of the community, where Phase I is already underway. Scheduled for completion next summer, this phase will add 59 senior-focused homes, including 14 reserved for low-income residents, ensuring Mulberry Gardens supports multiple generations.

Riverside County is bringing this vision to life with a commitment of 51 project-based vouchers and $2 million in HHIP funds across both phases.

Just steps from downtown Riverside, Mulberry Gardens will feature welcoming amenities including community rooms, laundry facilities, storage, parking, and vibrant open spaces complete with BBQs, picnic areas, a bocce ball court, and more.
